~My Holiday Diary~
That's just scary! The leaves aren't changing very quickly here, though the daily highs have remained anywhere from the low 60's to the mid 70's...the best temperature range possible, in my opinion!
One of the biggest steps to moving is cleaning out the shed. Well, I think I got a third of it done yesterday. Once it's finished, I'll get all the Christmas stuff out of the shed next door and put it back over in this one, and then Mom and I will sort through it all come the day after Thanksgiving, because we have to downsize that stuff by...ohh...about 70%. There's THAT much of it. I wish this holiday season could be spent north, but it won't...at least I have the comfort in knowing this is my tenth and final autumn here.
I requested a free Christmas music CD from www.rbc.org. It's a symphony with songs like 'O Holy Night' and 'We Three Kings', and I'm REALLY looking forward to it :D I'm also looking forward to the Christmas music channel that will be turned on at midnight after Thanskgiving on our satellite tv.
Nothing else in the way of Christmas stuff is going on right now, but I just thought I'd update this to record my feelings.
It's unbelievable that Christmas is looming so close, and I want to do so much. But there's no reason to get stressed out over it this time, none at all. Sometimes it's so hard to focus on the real reason for the season, you know? I still have 2 months and 4 weeks to get it all done, and I'm sure it will be, but I just want to be able to relax and truly enjoy it for once.
The nights are chilly, making the stars bright and frosty...I love it to much. Autumn makes me so...well...happy.
